Bernd, Borussia Park

Mit sechs Jahren war Bernd zum ersten Mal auf dem Bökelberg bei einem Spiel gegen den 1.FC Köln. Auch 40 Jahre später besucht er regelmäßig die Spiele der Borussia, zu denen er immer zwei bis drei Stunden vor dem Anpfiff kommt.
At only six years old, Bernd went to the old „Bökelberg“ stadium in Mönchengladbach for the first time, for a game against the FC Köln. 40 years later, he still regularly goes to the stadium to watch the Borussia play, sometimes being there as early as two to three hours before kickoff.

Kurt, Borussia Park

Kurt ist langjähriger Borussia Fan. Seit einiger Zeit erlebt er die Spiele allerdings nur von ausserhalb des Stadions beim Sammeln von Leergut.
Kurt has been a Borussia Mönchengladbach supporter for years, though he’s only been experiencing the games from outside of the stadium for a while now, collecting bottles for deposit.

Michael, Borussia Park

Michael kommt aus Hamm zu den Spielen der Borussia angereist und ist Mitglied im Borussia Fanclub »Grenzland Mob«. Sein erstes Spiel war eine 1-2 Niederlage im Pokal gegen Schalke 1988.
Michael is from Hamm and regularly travels to Gladbach to go to the stadium, being a part of the Borussia Mönchengladbach fan club „Grenzland Mob“. The first game he ever watched live at the stadium was a 1-2 domestic cup loss against Schalke in 1988.

Stefan und Patrick, Borussia Park

Nein, Gladbachfans sind Stefan und Patrick nicht. Die beiden statten der Borussia lediglich einen Besuch ab. Von Zeit zu Zeit reist das Duo aus den Niederlanden zu Fußballspielen ins benachbarte Ausland. Neulich war es Schalke, diesmal also die Partie Gladbach gegen Wolfsburg. Ein Konsum-Abstecher in den Fanshop gehört für Stefan und Patrick zu einem solchen Trip dazu – Souvenirs, Souvenirs. Demnächst geht es in ähnlicher Mission nach Newcastle. Und welchen Vereinen drücken sie hauptamtlich die Daumen? Stefan hält mit Feyenoord Rotterdam, Patrick mit NAC Breda.
No, Stefan and Patrick aren’t Mönchengladbach supporters. The both of them are merely neutral spectators for tonight’s fixture. From time to time, the Dutch duo travels to neighboring countries  in order to watch different football matches. Last time they visited Schalke, so today they’ll be watching Gladbach play Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. Taking a trip to the fan shop is part of the experience for the two – souvenirs, souvenirs. Next up on their plan is a trip to Newcastle Utd. But which clubs do they mainly support? Stefan sticks with Feyenoord Rotterdam, Patrick with the NAC Breda.

Sechs feine Ohren bei der Supernase. Vor einiger Zeit haben diese drei Herren des Gladbacher Fanclubs „Borussen Power Bocholt“ Thomas Gottschalk einen Besuch abgestattet. Der moderierte seinerzeit noch „Wetten, dass..?“ und das Trio war sich sicher, alle 140 Mitglieder ihres Fanclubs am Klatschen erkennen zu können. Sie gewannen die Wette. Applaus, Applaus, Applaus.
These three members of the Borussia Mönchengladbach fan club „Borussen Power Bocholt“ participated in a former German TV show called „Wetten dass…?“ in which they bet that they would able to recognize all 140 different members of their fan club by the sound of their clapping. They won the bet. Applause, applause.
