Nach dem Spiel treffen wir in einer Kneipe in der Altstadt vier der insgesamt etwa 40 mitgereisten Red Star Fans. Axel und seine drei Freunde sind mit dem Auto aus Paris angereist. Sie erzählen uns von dem Drama um das Stade Bauer, der Heimat von Red Star in Saint-Ouen 500 Meter hinter der Pariser Stadtgrenze. Das alt ehrwürdige und stimmungsvolle Stadion ist aufgrund von Baumängeln nicht für die Ligue 2 zugelassen. Die Fanszene kämpft seit Jahren für den Erhalt und die Instandsetzung des Bauer. Der Stadtrat von Saint-Ouen möchte es jedoch lieber abreissen und das günstig gelegene Grundstück anders vermarkten. Ein neues Stadion will er aber auch nicht bauen. So ist Red Star heimatlos in seiner ersten Zweitligasaison seit 1999. Die »Heimspiele« werden im 80 Kilometer!! entfernten Beauvais ausgetragen. Ein Großteil der alten Fanszene boykotiert die Spiele dort. Und so sehen auch die vier mehr echte Auswärtsspiele als so genannte Heimspiele. Sie erzählen, dass sich nicht wenige Fans den Wiederabstieg in die dritte Liga wünschen, damit Red Star wieder im Bauer spielt.
After the game, we meet four of the roughly 40 Red Star Paris supporters that were in the stadium tonight. Axel and his three friends came in from Paris by car, they tell us about the drama around Red Star Paris’s stadium, the „Stade Bauer“, located in Saint-Ouen, around 500 metres outside of Paris. The venerable stadium with a good atmosphere is not authorized to be used in the French „Ligue 2“. The club’s fan base has been fighting for the maintenance and repair of the stadium for years. Saint-Ouen’s city council however, would rather tear down the stadium and use the desirably situated property for a more profitable cause without building a new stadium. That way, Red Star Paris is „homeless“ for it’s first season playing in second league since 1999. The „home games“ are taking place in a stadium located within the city of Beauvais, 80 kilometres!!! away from the club’s actual stadium. Most of the club’s fans boycott the games taking place in that stadium. That way, the four supporters end up seeing more away games than so called home games. They tell us that a decent amount of fans want the club to be relegated back to the third division, so that the club can play in it’s actual stadium again.
