Ein lauer Sommerabend in Brøndby, einem Vorort von Kopenhagen. Im Hinspiel der dritten Qualifikationsrunde zur Euro League Gruppenphase stehen sich der heimische IF und Omonia Nikosia gegenüber. Mit knapp 7.500 Zuschauern ist das Stadion nur zu einem Viertel gefüllt. Die als eine der stimmungsvollsten Fantribünen Dänemarks bekannte »Sydsiden«, Heimat von Brøndbys »gelber Armee« ist gänzlich verwaist, da die UEFA für internationale Spiele nur Sitzplätze zulässt.
It’s a mild summernight in Kopenhagen suburb Brøndby. For the first leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA-Europa League, Brøndby IF takes on Omonia Nikosia at home. The stadium is only filled to about a quarter of it’s maximum capacity, with roughly 7,500 visitors watching the game tonight. The stadium’s fan stand, called „Sydsiden“ is well known for having one of the best atmospheres in all of Denmark. Von vielen tollen Brøndby Momenten war die Teilnahme an der Champios League Gruppenphase 1998 für Martin der größte. Wann immer es in seine Planungen passt, begleitet er die Mannschaft auch auswärts — im In- und Ausland.
Out of many great moments for Brøndby, Martin’s favorite one is the club’s participation in the Champions league group stage in 1998. He also visits the clubs away games whenever possible – sometimes even abroad.

Simon, Olympiastadion

Simon ist zusammen mit seiner Frau aus dem Südosten von England zum Spiel nach Berlin angereist. 2006 kamen sie als Touristen ins Olympiastadion und waren begeistert von der Atmosphäre. Seitdem kommen sie immer wieder. Die beiden haben eine Dauerkarte und besuchen etwa zwölf Spiele in der Saison. In England drücken Sie Brighton and Hove Albion und Chelsea die Daumen. Der Besuch eines Hertha Spiels inklusive Flug ist für sie günstiger als ein Besuch eines Premier League Spiels — und die Stimmung ist besser. Mittlerweile haben sich durch die zahlreichen Besuche in Berlin Freundschaften ergeben, so dass Simon und seine Frau kein Hotel mehr brauchen, wenn Sie im Dicken B sind.
Simon is from southwest England and regularly comes to Berlin for a weekend with his wife to watch football. When they first visited the Olympiastadion in 2006 as tourists, they were delighted by the great atmosphere, causing them to visit more often since then.  They both own a season ticket and watch about 12 games per season. They also sympathize with English football clubs Brighton, Hove Albion and Chelsea. Flying out to watch a Hertha game is cheaper than watching a single game in the Premier League – plus the atmosphere is better in Berlin. By now the couple has made several friends in Berlin, enabling them to stay in Berlin without needing a hotel.
